Tornado Alley

This will be the last post for today.

Novak is banned from the library.

Luckily, not by the library staff. This is a mom-initiated ban. The last three times we have gone to the library he has screamed, emptied bookshelves, knocked down a display sign, and this morning knocked down a two foot diameter globe and broke it into two pieces. (Luckily I was able to get it almost back together, at least until the next kid knocks it over.)

As I was trying to check out our library books, he decided to throw a super screaming fit. In the middle of the library, where it is wide open and every sound echoes. (sure, its pretty, but it's not the best library design if you ask me.) Luckily my sister-in-law was there to rescue me from the Novak monster long enough to let me talk to the librarian.

If I keep taking him to the library, I run the risk of incurring some serious expense when he breaks something important. Never mind that I'm now "that mom" who brings her screaming tornado of a toddler to the quiet peaceful library.

That was, in a word, intense. Not something I want to experience again.
