Afterwards we went to a little coffee shop where he picked out a gigantic chocolate muffin and chocolate milk. He is definitely his mother's son. He also proudly informed me that "This is the best chocolate milk I've ever had! It's so good, I'm going to order a dozen more!"

Sweet rewards
This morning Nate and I had to go to the doctor to have a wart on his foot frozen off. It was not a pleasant experience!

making an entrance
Just this week, Nile started doing this when he comes downstairs. He will wait upstairs after the rest of us have come down. Then, when he feels it has been a long enough time, in he comes. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do...

Bucket boy
Nile was goofing around, yelling, and actually making me really frustrated. When I looked over to tell him to stop, I saw he was running around with a bucket on his head.
4 months of entertainment
We broke ground on our new home this week. So far we've been over there every day to check out the site and see what progress has been made. The boys have been LOVING seeing the construction equipment and the "really huge hole" in the ground. I think we've found a new recreational activity.
I almost titled this post "free entertainment" but then realized that this is definitely not free.

A voice in the dark
From a dark, quiet hotel room this morning about 6:15:
Nile: "I pastor" (we still don't know what he was trying to say)
Nate: "No, Nile, you're not a pastor, you're a KID!"
And the morning officially began.

Four Eyes
Nate pulled out a pair of old sunglasses from the toy box. I honestly don't remember where these came from, but I'm guessing Grandma's house. They lost the lenses long ago, and I have never seen him wear them. Until now.
I asked him to go to the bathroom to look at himself in the mirror. He came back and said "I look really goofy!"

Full Disclosure: I asked him to make a funny face for the second shot.

wash-n-tum CD
Tom is spending a few days in Washington, DC for a middle school conference. A few months ago Matt also went to this conference, and I had read with great amusement Emma's attempts to say "Washington, DC."
So I was really curious what Nile would do with this mouthful. At first he was confused, but could repeat "wash-n-tum" pretty easily. But he got a little confused. He transposed the letters, said "Wash-n-tum CD" followed immediately by "Where's Daddy's CD?" Then, "Daddy's in A-B-C-D."
Then he spent all day saying "wash-n-tum" at totally random times. Of course, if you know Nile, he repeats things until you figure it out and correctly acknowledge him. So, imagine Nile repeating "wash-n-tum," (pause) "wash-n-tum," (pause) "WASH-N-TUM!"
"Yes, Nile, you're right. Daddy's in Washington, DC."
