Twist, twist, pull

As I was helping Novak brush his teeth, Nate ran down, his mouth full of toothpaste, to let me know that "Nile says his tooth is coming out tonight!"

Not a minute later, as Nate got back to their bathroom, I hear, "It's out!  Nile's tooth is out!"

Nile told me Nate gave him the tip that helped. "Just twist, twist, pull, twist, twist, pull, and zoink!  It's out!"

The dental hygienist warned us on Monday that there were four loose. The tooth fairy better get ready...

Toothless

Look what Nile did this morning!

Yep, that's his first one. Looks an awful lot like Nate's first

Tooth-scapades

I'll give him this. When Nate puts his mind to something, he will make it happen. Tooth number 6 is out tonight.

Nate was determined. He wasn't going to bed until it was out.

Nile was in the bathroom as his cheerleader. It was cute.

At one point, Nile says, "If you just had some scissors or something..."

"Nate, try blowing. That will push it out."

For the record, I listened to this from the kitchen. I can't handle the pulling of teeth. Eww.

Another tooth!

Today at dinner, Nate lost another tooth. This is the second he has lost at a restaurant. This one, however, had its full share of emotions. The tooth was so loose it was sticking out horizontally from his mouth, and yet he "couldn't" pull it. Finally, after a long ordeal, during which most of the rest of the family had finished their dinner, he pulled it out.

And immediately all tears were gone, all fear had vanished. :)

And another one...

Finally, the second tooth on the bottom is out. Now it's replacement behind it (which came in months ago...) can hopefully find a permanent spot to live.

Lost tooth

When I got home from my trip today, Nate proudly showed me his "wiggly tooth.". It's been getting loose for a week or so, but he was nervous about pulling it.

Finally at dinner tonight he was able to pull it out. Hooray for loose teeth and convincing daddies!

The Tooth Fairy Cometh

Finally, Nate has lost his first tooth. You can barely see it in this picture, but his permanent tooth came in a few months ago behind his baby teeth. So we have been talking about this since Thanksgiving.

Nate is beyond excited. He keeps asking what the tooth fairy might bring. He suggested $20.
